Mould thrives in trapped moisture and organic residue.

Cutting open a hardened tube can expose usable paint, which may be placed in a palette and rewetted.

Close palettes when dry, cover paper and store brushes in clean containers.

Record each item’s brand, colour or size, purchase date and storage location.

Keep reliable essentials, test uncertain items and separate duplicates.

Once a month, clean palettes, inspect brushes, wipe tube threads, check paper storage and update the supply list.
